Migration
Move your store to Mervio in one afternoon
Upload products with variants, photos, stock and SEO fields in one CSV file from Shopify, WooCommerce or any spreadsheet. For our first customers we do the move ourselves.
Where you can move from
Shopify
Products → Export → “CSV for Excel”. Mervio recognises the file by itself: variants, photos, SEO titles, stock, cost price, and it can create collections from “Type”.
WooCommerce, PrestaShop, OpenCart
Export products to CSV and map the columns in the preview. Mervio recognises Lithuanian and English headers by itself.
Other platforms or Excel
Any spreadsheet with a name and a price will do. Even simpler: fill in the Mervio template, which already has sample products with variants.
How the import works
-
1
Upload the file
CSV up to 20 MB. Comma, semicolon or tab, UTF-8 or the Lithuanian Excel encoding – it does not matter.
-
2
Check the columns
Mervio suggests which column is which. The preview shows the product count and the first products before anything is created.
-
3
Run it
Choose whether new products start as drafts and whether to update existing ones. You watch the progress live.
-
4
Review the notes
Faulty rows are skipped and described with their row number, all other products are imported.
What moves
- Products with up to 3 options and 250 variants
- Prices (with VAT), sale price, cost price, SKU, barcodes, weight
- Stock, if it is in the file
- Photos – Mervio downloads and stores them itself
- Brands, collections, tags
- SEO titles and descriptions, product URLs
What does not move
- Customer accounts and passwords – shoppers sign up again or buy as guests
- Order history – it stays in the old system and in your accounting
- Theme design – you build it in the Mervio theme editor
Your Google rankings stay
Mervio URLs /products/… and /collections/… match Shopify’s, so links do not break when you move from Shopify. From other platforms, add old URLs to the 301 redirect import (“old, new” per line) and Google moves the ranking to the new pages.
Migration FAQ
How long does an import take?
A few thousand products are imported in a few minutes. Photos are downloaded in the background, and until they are the store shows them from the old address.
Can I import more than once?
Yes. Products are matched by URL: with “Update existing” switched on you update prices, stock and variants without creating duplicates.
Do prices have to include VAT?
Yes, Mervio stores prices with VAT, as the buyer sees them. “12,50”, “12.50” and “1 234,50 €” are all understood.
What about my newsletter list?
Newsletter contacts usually live in Omnisend or another tool. Mervio connects to Omnisend, so there is no list to move.
Does it cost extra?
No. Import is included in every plan, and for our first customers we do the move for free.
We’ll move it for you
